According to its organizers, the event aims to enhance Essaouira's position as an artistic and cultural destination, highlight the importance of music in its various manifestations, and shed light on artists interested in jazz around the world. It also provides an opportunity for the public to discover Moroccan artists, including emerging talents who care about this musical genre, and to learn about the rhythms and melodies used in this genre. This artistic event comes in the context of the Essaouira Mogador Association, the organizer of this event, keen to continue enriching and diversifying the musical performances that the "City of Winds" now hosts throughout the year. "Jazz Under the Argans" is the latest festival launched in Essaouira, which is known worldwide for three major festivals: "Gnawa and World Music", "Andalusian Atlantics" and "Spring of Classical Music".
