Two excellent partner organizations from the ISED-MS program, Basis Al Amal and Kholoud, joined forces to deliver a powerful psychosocial support session for women in Amizmiz, who were affected by the September 2023 earthquake that struck Kelaat Sraghna on December 1, 2024. This two-part workshop focused on raising awareness about gender-based violence. In the first session, women came together to explore the complexities of gender-based violence and discussed topics such as patriarchal mentalities, different forms of violence, and harmful cultural norms. The second part of the workshop allowed women to express their strength and resilience through a creative drawing workshop, where they drew images highlighting gender-based violence and shared empowering messages to help end violence against women. This workshop is part of the ISED-MS program's mission to promote development and cooperation through civil society. It also aligns with the World Health Organization's "16 Days of Activism" campaign, which focuses on raising awareness about gender-based violence, especially in emergency contexts.
