The second edition of the Moroccan Forum for Cultural and Creative Industries was held from December 4 to 8, 2024 in Rabat. The forum aims to support the professionalism and structuring of the cultural and creative industries sector in Morocco as a sector that produces wealth and creates job opportunities. This event, organized by the Hiba Foundation with the support of the European Union, the French Institute in Morocco, the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, and in partnership with the Federation of Cultural and Creative Industries, provided an opportunity to create a real platform for exchange and discussion between various actors in the cultural and creative industries sector, with a view to building a common vision for the year 2030. It also sought to promote cultural entrepreneurship as a true economic lever and contribute to supporting cultural entrepreneurs through publishing, communication and capacity building, as well as enriching the national debate on cultural and creative industries. The program of this cultural event included panel discussions, workshops and dialogue sessions on various topics, led by Moroccan and foreign entrepreneurs, focusing on exploring strategies for financing cultural projects and companies, and ways to export them. The forum also highlighted the challenges associated with employment in the cultural and creative industries sector, and revealed the links between heritage, culture and territorial development.
